Engineering Technician

Kforce is a notable multinational automotive and clean energy company seeking an Engineering Technician to join their Sunnyvale, CA team. The role involves supporting dyno systems, conducting tests, and ensuring system health while collaborating with a team of professionals.

Computer Software

Responsibilities

Bring dyno systems online, perform calibrations, and hand off ready systems to test engineers
Conduct test spins, visual inspections, and checks for leaks, faults, or abnormal behavior
Monitor dyno health daily (startup checks, chillers, cooling systems, system communication)
Identify and respond to dynos that stop unexpectedly or show error conditions
Maintain parts organization, inventory systems, cleanliness, and workspace standards
Use computer systems to navigate databases, review test history, log issues, and manage tickets
Participate in daily stand-up meetings and execute task lists
Proactively identify issues, suggest improvements, and take ownership of assigned systems

Mechanical backgroundElectrical skillsTool proficiencyAutomotive experienceProblem-solvingTeam collaboration

Required

Role is more about being teachable and hungry; Takes pride in work
Knows how to use tools such as an Impact gun, Multimeter, Torque wrench, Drills, etc
Some sort of mechanical background in auto shop or something similar where they have to fix and/or build
Electrical outside of construction such as building a wire harness for a motor

Preferred

automotive space experience; A lot of people have been repair techs at BMW, Toyota, etc
