Internship - 2026 Undergraduate 3M UX Design Intern - Safety & Industrial Business Group (SIBG)

Responsibilities
Contribute to UX and UI design for digital tools and software used in industrial and safety applications
Build your skills through project work, designer feedback, and mentorship
Apply user-centered design methods with support from senior UX Designers and Researchers
Assist with user research, synthesize findings, and translate insights into design recommendations
Participate in design critiques, workshops, and cross-functional project discussions
Create UX deliverables such as user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and design documentation
Learn and apply 3M’s digital and brand guidelines to ensure clarity and consistency across experiences
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree, or higher, from an accredited institution
Experience using Figma
Preferred
Working knowledge using design tools, such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Miro
Completion of Junior year (6 semesters) by the start of the internship
A growth mindset, creativity, and genuine passion for design
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to communicate design decisions clearly
Collaborative working style and strong communication skills
Self-motivated, curious, and proactive in your approach to problem-solving
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
