Student Assistant for Cyber Director

Responsibilities

Monitor shared inboxes and forward important messages to the Cyber Director
Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and maintaining calendars
Help with travel arrangements, reimbursements, and basic recordkeeping
Assist with planning and running Cybersecurity Center events (info sessions, competitions, mock interviews, guest speakers)
Coordinate logistics including space reservations, setup, takedown, and promotional materials
Support pop-up events and Cyber Range tours
Draft and distribute flyers, digital signage, and announcements using approved templates
Update SharePoint, websites, and event calendars
Assist with thank-you letters and communications to partners, donors, and scholarship recipients
Track attendance or participation in events and student usage of Cybersecurity Center resources
Assist with organizing files, inventories, and documentation
Provide basic tech support and help document processes under supervision
Serve as a point of contact for student organizations connected to the Cybersecurity Center
Provide general support to the Cyber Director and staff as needed

Required

Current CSU student in good academic standing
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Reliable, proactive, and professional
Able to manage multiple tasks and work independently with guidance
Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for special events

Preferred

Interest in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related fields
Experience with Microsoft Office, Canva/Adobe Express, or event support
Customer service, tutoring, or student organization experience
