Responsibilities
Review requisitions and recommend alternatives where appropriate
Identify opportunities and negotiate best prices and payment terms for the company
Evaluate existing suppliers and look for cost-saving opportunities
Enter and submit purchase orders
Distribute communication of PO and RQ status throughout the entire process
Interact with suppliers from PO submission, to shipping and receiving, and error resolution
Manage supplier relationships
Provide reporting such as top suppliers and trend analysis to management
Authorize payments to suppliers
Assist in developing and executing the company’s purchasing strategy
Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
Qualification
Required
ERP experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Administrative or inventory-related experience within manufacturing/distribution
Ability to convey information accurately and efficiently, verbally and in written form across all levels of the organization
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize conflicting tasks
Preferred
Must be willing to take certification for Hazmat Shipping Certification (paid for by the company)
