Responsibilities
Define supplier segmentation, governance models, and risk-based quality strategies aligned with EPC Power’s business objectives
Conduct and lead supplier assessments including system audits, process audits, capability studies, and technical evaluations across castings, machining, plastics, electronics, and electro-mechanical suppliers
Manage supplier qualification workflows including APQP, PPAP, control plans, and capability confirmation prior to production release
Drive structured corrective and preventive actions using 8D, PFMEA, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving methodologies
Create and manage supplier development and/or improvement plans for underperforming suppliers using quality tools, Kaizen events, and relationship management
Establish and maintain supplier KPIs and dashboards (PPM, OTD, SCARs, capability indices) using Power BI, Minitab, SPC, and Excel
Provide technical guidance and coaching to suppliers and internal teams on quality systems, audits, and continuous improvement practices
Develop periodic reports on supplier performance (scorecards). Establish and maintain periodic reviews with suppliers on their performance, Supplier Maintenance, and Improvement plan
Collaboratively interact with manufacturing plant quality and engineering teams to collect, analyze, and summarize supplier performance data
Work with suppliers to resolve or improve quality issues and to implement effective corrective action. Ensure on time processing of non-conforming components
Lead problem solving for corrective actions. Must have excellent problem-solving abilities using systemic, logical, and sequential approaches and provide technical oversight for issue/problem resolution activities, root cause analysis and preventive/corrective implementation
Ensure effective change control and proactively communicate with suppliers regarding any changes in design or changes in process that could affect product
Interact with manufacturing plants and engineering teams to optimize documentation related to supplier quality and inspection checks
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials) or related technical discipline
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Supplier Quality role in the electro-mechanical and ideally with printed circuit boards with AOI, testing experience
Effective technical writing skills, communication, and interpersonal skills are required
Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to engage various levels of stakeholders and team members in remote locations
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Supplier auditing experience
40% Travel – both domestically and internationally
International travel experience and the capability to operate in foreign cultures required
Self-motivated individual who will take the initiative to complete tasks
Strong critical thinking and communication skills
Strong analytical skills to evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and present complex data in a coherent manner
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks
