Amrize is a company focused on construction and mining operations in North America. The Quarry Operator position is responsible for operating mobile equipment, ensuring safety compliance, performing maintenance checks, and monitoring quality during mining operations.

Responsibilities

Operation of mobile equipment required to mine rock (For example: Rock drills, wheel loaders, bulldozer, haul trucks and water trucks, motor grader, fuel tanker, hydraulic rock breaker)

Promotes Amrize U.S. Safety guidelines and standards, ensuring that safety and compliance requirements are met and followed on customer job sites

Perform mechanical maintenance check-outs, troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and do minor preventative maintenance on mobile equipment

Monitor and react to quality issues (For example: sample drill holes, monitor quality feedback information & adjust mining pattern as necessary)

Maintain documentation, plan and organize work, participate in various team activities

Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors

Required

High School Diploma/GED

1 year of heavy equipment operating experience

Ability to work in a team based environment

Adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE")
