Network Deploy Technician, ID Deploy Optical Team

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an Infrastructure Delivery Network Technician to join their growing team within infrastructure operations. The role involves driving the stability of next-generation networks and assisting in capacity management across several data center locations.

Responsibilities

Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects
Work closely with our Network Engineering & Network Technical Project Manager teams to ensure fast, smooth rollout of established designs and products
Troubleshoot networking, routing and inter connectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and low level application interaction
Up to 20% travel within geographical work area may be required; some travel outside traditional work area may be requested
Troubleshooting cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords

Required

High school or equivalent diploma
Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field; or Certifications in a relevant field (CCENT, Network+, CCNA)
2+ years of experience with network cabling, optic types, and test equipment (VFL, power meter, and OTDR etc.)
2+ years of experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies

Preferred

2+ years of experience working with IT best practice frameworks (ITIL, LEAN, AGILE)
Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role
Meets/exceeds Amazon's functional/technical depth and complexity
