Responsibilities

Performing daily instrumentation quality control and weekly and monthly cleaning protocols on analytical flow cytometers and Advia2120i hematology system

Training and assisting users on Cellaca PLX cell counter

Monitoring and troubleshooting instrumentation to ensure proper functionality

Maintaining and operating BD FACSAria Fusion and BD FACS Symphony S6 cell sorters

Communicate instrument issues to the vendors and help coordinating service calls

Provide assistance and guidance to users

Maintaining and ensuring accurate and legible records

Ability to adhere to lab's practices and procedures

Performing general lab organization, including lab supply inventories and orders

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in biological science or related field, or higher

Minimum 1-year experience in a research or clinical lab. Experience handling primary samples, tissue culture and using microscopes is required

Advanced knowledge of basic and complex scientific and laboratory techniques

Knowledge of computer programs including all Microsoft applications, Prism, biostatistics analyses, programs specific to instruments as needed

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands

Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify and analyze the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

Ability to identify complex problems in a timely manner, decipher information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions

Ability to lift 50 pounds

Preferred

Minimum 1-year of practical experience with BD Bioscience analytical flow cytometers preferred

Knowledge of BD Diva, FlowJo and FCS Express 7 software are preferred
