They are seeking a Patient Service Representative to manage patient records, assist with appointment scheduling, and provide support to patients regarding their insurance and billing.

Responsibilities

Review demographics, insurance, and provider information, and update records accordingly
Instruct new patients to complete all required paperwork and create new accounts in the computer system
Obtain a copy of the patient’s insurance card and driver's license
Update the electronic medical record system (EMR) and take patients’ photos
Provide the patient with the SOFHA payment and privacy policy
Answer patient questions and concerns
Schedule/Reschedule patient appointments
Collect payment and notate on the patient encounter form
Route telephone calls and record/deliver messages accordingly

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of grammar, punctuation and sentence structure

Preferred

Previous experience in a medical office or customer service position
Basic knowledge of insurance and billing procedures, including ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding
