Responsibilities

Lead month-end close for premium and related accounts, including journal entries, balance sheet/bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and variance/financial analysis
Manage agency bill premium accounting in the Agency Management System, including client premium transactions, carrier statement reconciliations, discrepancy research, and timely carrier payments/refunds
Ensure accurate, compliant documentation and controls (US GAAP, company policy, financial services requirements), including review of premium-related invoices/transactions for coding and approvals
Support audits and reporting by responding to requests, preparing agency bill audit support, and partnering with corporate finance on special projects
Assist with integration of newly acquired offices by aligning premium and general accounting workflows
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
3+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience with hands-on premium accounting exposure
Hands-on experience with AMS360 and Applied Epic
Strong understanding of accrual accounting, general ledger processes, and month-end close
Detail-oriented and organized with strong follow-through; able to manage deadlines and handle confidential information
Advanced Excel skills

Preferred

Insurance brokerage experience (preferred); able to step in and perform with minimal ramp-up
NetSuite and Floqast skills are a plus!
