Responsibilities
Apply engineering principles to improve manufacturing processes and products
Lead development of corrective actions for quality issues using 8D methodology
Conduct process audits to ensure adherence to guidelines
Perform ergonomic evaluations and implement corrective actions
Analyze inventory root causes and engage in corrective actions
Create process and instruction sheets to support quality methods
Lead initiatives for variability reduction and lean manufacturing
Ensure compliance with Plant, Corporate, Governmental, and Environmental standards
Support ISO 14001 compliance and internal auditing
Qualification
Required
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
High School Diploma or GED
5 years of related experience
Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, and Process Engineering
Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Experience with machining or tooling in a manufacturing environment
Effective communication skills, both oral and written
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
Familiarity with 8D and 5Why corrective action and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Lean Tools such as 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping
Experience with DMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) Project Methodologies
Understanding of TQM and Kaizen Methods
Experience with FMEA, PPAP, and DOEs
Knowledge of Visual Factory Management and ergonomic analysis
