Industry Sales Manager Pharmaceuticals & Nutraceuticals – UK & Ireland, Coperion FHN, Health & Nutrition Division
Coperion is an industry leader in compounding and extrusion, feeding and weighing, bulk material handling and service. They are seeking an Industry Sales Manager to lead their Pharmaceuticals & Nutraceuticals commercial efforts across the UK & Ireland, responsible for driving revenue growth and managing key accounts.

Responsibilities
Own order intake, revenue, margin, and pipeline targets for the UK & Ireland territory across systems and standalone equipment
Build, maintain, and convert a robust pipeline; manage forecast accuracy, coverage ratios, and quarterly commits in CRM
Expand share-of-wallet at strategic Pharma/Nutra accounts; identify and win new logos in priority sub-segments (e.g., OSD, liquids/semi-solids, nutrition powders)
Map buying centers (technical, procurement, quality) and develop multi-threaded relationships; orchestrate executive engagement when needed
Qualify opportunities using defined stage gates; lead the sales cycle from discovery and URS clarification through proposal, negotiation, and close
Partner with Applications/Proposals to translate URS/RFQs into compelling, compliant solutions; ensure clear scope, limits of supply, and value articulation
Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Proposals, Project Execution, Service, Legal, and Finance to shape deals and deliver integrated solutions
Drive internal alignment on pricing, T&Cs, delivery timelines, risk, and resourcing; lead bid/no-bid recommendations for complex pursuits
Analyze UK & Ireland market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory dynamics; recommend segment focus, campaigns, and channel strategies
Provide voice of customer to inform product roadmaps, standard solution packages, and marketing content
Adhere to pricing guardrails, discount policies, approvals, and contracting standards (Incoterms, payment milestones, LDs, warranties, performance guarantees)
Maintain CRM hygiene and sales reporting; contribute to regional reviews and global pipeline calls
Partner with Marketing on campaigns, conferences, labs/demos, and reference development; host customer visits, FAT/SAT pre-alignment meetings, and webinars
Ensure clean handover to Project Execution with documented assumptions, clarifications/deviations, and risk mitigations; support issue resolution to protect margin and customer satisfaction
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or related field; advanced degree (MBA or similar) is a plus
7+ years of B2B capital equipment sales experience, including 3+ years selling to Pharma and/or Nutraceuticals manufacturers in the UK & Ireland
Demonstrated success managing long-cycle, complex system deals and achieving order intake, revenue, and margin targets
Strong understanding of Pharma/Nutra production processes (e.g., blending, conveying, dosing/feeding, granulation, containment, cleaning/validation)
Familiarity with cGMP, hygienic design, URS/RFQ processes, FAT/SAT, and quality/documentation expectations
Proven negotiation, solution selling, value pricing, and contract structuring skills; ability to build business cases and ROI for customers
Proficiency with CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and standard MS toolsets; ability to manage pipeline, forecast, and reporting rigorously
Excellent communication and presentation skills; strong executive presence and stakeholder influence
Self-directed, reliable, and organized with high follow-through; able to operate in a matrix and collaborate across functions and cultures
Willingness to travel 40–50% across the UK & Ireland (occasional EMEA/global travel for training or key accounts)
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
