Account Director
Innomark Communications is seeking an Account Director to oversee strategy and execution for their partnership with a major sporting goods retailer. The role involves leading production teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring successful execution of marketing programs.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary client contact for Hardlines and Softlines production programs
Partner closely with category leads to plan upcoming initiatives and align on timing, budgets, and deliverables
Lead weekly status meetings and quarterly business reviews
Act as the escalation point for production, distribution, or timing challenges
Maintain proactive, transparent communication to strengthen client relationships
Manage and mentor the Production Project Managers supporting Hardlines and Softlines
Oversee project assignments, workload balance, and daily communication
Foster strong collaboration across creative, production, and distribution teams
Partner with Creative Production leadership to ensure designers receive accurate instructions for kit/OOK needs
Provide consistent coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities for direct reports
Oversee monthly kit and OOK instruction execution, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery
Lead planning and coordination for store walk sets and ensure in-store execution aligns with expectations
Open and manage placeholder and split-ship monthly kit projects, keeping timelines and budgets on track
Maintain visibility into Ohio-based production activity to ensure schedule adherence and quality
Communicate any production or fulfillment issues to client leadership promptly with solutions
Review and approve scopes, estimates, and budgets as needed
Partner with Finance and Production to ensure profitability and pricing accuracy
Monitor workload distribution across segments and adjust staffing or priorities when necessary
Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen consistency and efficiency across cycles
Act as the liaison between the client, Innomark Production (OH), Creative, and Distribution teams
Ensure alignment on scope, schedules, and deliverables across all groups
Escalate risks early and clearly communicate next steps
Collaborate regularly with the Senior Account Director to align on strategy and resource planning
Qualification
Required
Experience in account management or client leadership roles, preferably in a marketing or production environment
Strong understanding of Hardlines and Softlines business segments, including categories such as Golf, Team Sports, Apparel, and Footwear
Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, particularly in a production or project management context
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on proactive and transparent client communication
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
Experience in financial management, including reviewing scopes, estimates, and budgets
Ability to identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and consistency
Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including creative, production, and distribution departments
