Responsibilities

Technical execution of tasks
Recommending solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems related to the design, manufacture, integration, and production sustainment of various mechanical sub-systems both in the engineering lab and the factory floor both at Raytheon Technologies and at suppliers
Contributing to first article inspections
Work instruction reviews
Material dispositions
Root cause investigations to production issues
Preparing technical justification analysis reports
Presenting to a variety of Engineering Review Boards
Commitment to program schedule and budget
3D parametric modeling

Required

Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience
Two years' experience in mechanical design and/or design documentation
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred

Proficient in 3D CAD tools (modeling and drawing)
Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ANSI Y14.5
Experience in mechanical sub-systems packaging, materials, thermal, structural analysis, energetics, principals, control systems, interconnect, airframe, or large assembly development
Proficient in CREO (modeling and drawing) and Windchill (PDM)
Active DoD issued security clearance
