Responsibilities

Perform a variety of tasks and activities to meet patient and department needs consistent with the scope of practice for an unlicensed practitioner

Manage multiple demands on his/her time to support the activity of the nursing staff

Facilitate the timely flow of patients through the department

Assist with stocking to ensure that the department is ready to receive and treat patients at all times

Qualification

BLS CertificationCertified Phlebotomy TechnicianDirect Patient Care ExperienceNursing StudentEmergency Medical TechnicianCertified Nursing AssistantMilitary Medical ExperienceEMS ExperienceEmergency Department Experience

Required

Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Upon hire: Certified Phlebotomy Technician - CA License (CPT1)

Experience in a health care setting performing direct patient care

Preferred

Coursework/Training: Nursing student or Emergency Medical Technician or Certified Nursing Assistant

Military medical, EMS or Emergency Department experience
