Manager of User Support Services
Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) is seeking a Manager of User Support Services to oversee the computer hardware and software support staff, ensuring efficient end point computing requirements. The role includes supervising the Help Desk staff, managing projects, and maintaining inventory and asset management systems.

Responsibilities
Assigns projects and supervises the activities of the computer hardware and software technicians across the college’s campuses
Supervises the Technology Services Help Desk
Participates in selection and development of support staff
Interviews and makes hiring recommendations
Provides training, guidance, performance evaluation, and, when necessary, recommends disciplinary action or discharge of personnel
Ensures that projects requested by personnel are properly recorded and documented in the TSD Service Desk system
Follows up on requests that remain outstanding for an excessive period
Maintains an inventory of critical parts and supplies for microcomputer preventative and remedial maintenance
Assists with the writing of bid specifications and the ordering of hardware and software products
Conducts and maintains an Asset Management System of computer equipment, software, and associated peripherals in assigned areas
Plans budget for section, TAF cycle replacements, and Administrative and Faculty replacements
Assists the Director of Technology Services with the establishment of security procedures, disaster recovery planning, and Standards and Procedures Manual
Evaluates USS employees and makes recommendations for promotions and personnel changes
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in Computer Science or other highly related degree
Five (5) years of relevant experience
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
