Senior Programmer/Analyst
Brigham and Women's Hospital is part of Mass General Brigham, which supports patient care, research, teaching, and community service. The Senior Programmer/Analyst will support the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics by creating analytic data files and conducting statistical analyses within a collaborative research environment.

Responsibilities
Support faculty and other research staff with the creation of analytic data files and the conduct of statistical analyses
Responsible for loading, validating, documenting, managing, and analyzing data for both internal and collaborative research projects
Responsible for assisting with data storage and management issues around both new and ongoing projects within the Division
Responsible for working with other research staff within the Division to help specify appropriate analytical data files for the research question under investigation
Responsible for creating and carefully documenting all derived analytical data files so that they can be understood and used by other members of the research team
Participate in monthly programmer team meetings
Mentor junior programmers/analysts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree Analysis required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
Experience in data analysis 5-7 years required
Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, data visualization, and Business Intelligence tools, such as Tableau
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to communicate complex workflows and data to a variety of audiences
Project management skills and/or experience are a plus
Preferred
Knowledge and application of statistical analyses including variance analysis and statistical significant
Healthcare knowledge, particularly as it pertains to electronic medical record data
