Responsibilities
Own core product features from initial discovery and design through implementation, deployment, and iteration
Design and build scalable, distributed systems (roughly 70% backend / 30% frontend) that support real-time, high-volume workflows
Examples include routing calls via an event-driven SIP softswitch and processing audio streams for advanced speech recognition
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to ship intuitive, performant experiences
Act as a role model for engineering excellence by mentoring teammates, sharing best practices, and fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented culture
Help define and uphold coding standards and architectural principles to ensure a clean, maintainable, and scalable codebase
Contribute meaningfully to both technical and product decisions, with real ownership and accountability
Qualification
Required
Senior-level experience building and owning production systems in a full stack environment
Strong backend expertise (Node.js, Ruby, distributed systems, APIs, databases)
Solid frontend experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
Experience designing systems that handle real-time, high-throughput workflows
Comfort working in a fast-growing, product-driven environment with high ownership
Strong collaboration and communication skills—you enjoy working across disciplines
Passion for mentoring, code quality, and long-term system design
