Manager II Finance Sales Planning
Stop & Shop is a well-established grocery store chain that has been serving customers for over a century. They are seeking a Manager II Finance Sales Planning to lead financial planning and analysis related to sales, collaborating with various teams to support strategic business initiatives.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage the sales component of financial planning and analysis by department and drive the development of budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans
Partner with Operational team (Regional VPs) on Store budgets and forecasts to understand and present sales drivers (ie. Competition, EBT/SNAP, Weather, etc)
Proactively identify and develop sales reporting needs of senior executives and management to help drive appropriate business decisions
Create and present detailed analysis and recommendations based on results and go forward plans
Accurately project sales by utilizing and incorporating current trends, future expectations, external forces. Develop extensive analysis and insights relating to sales drivers including, AIV, Units, households, EBT/SNAP, Promotional Planning and Price Investments
Manage performance results of new and carryover Price Investments including insights and recommendations. Closely partner with Pricing team to manage results and align on recommendations
Develop weekly latest sales estimates and present accompanying facts to internal finance and operational teams. Partner with commercial finance on trend to ensure weekly margin tracker is accurately represented
Present weekly sales results and insights which includes department sales trends, regional results, store remodel performance and other relevant facts
Drive discussion points that impact sales trends relating to market share and households (with Circana), Promotional Impact (Finance + Price & Promo), and Ad / Cover tactics (Merchandising Planning)
Create, monitor and present insights to understand recommended actions on Competitor Intrusions. Detailed analysis on results vs. expected impact including commentary that articulates the situation
Develop eCom sales forecasts by channel and partner with Merchandising Services on strategies and consumer insights to accurately project demand
Collaborate with the pricing team on inflation and understanding the price component of the business
Guide team to foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment
Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and on schedule
Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to provide constructive feedback, set clear expectations, and support professional development
Resolve conflicts and address team challenges in a timely and equitable manner
Develop and implement performance management strategies to monitor progress and celebrate successes
Define need for improved system support by taking advantage of technological and industry advancements to gain better insight, more quickly and provide analytical tools and insights to the Division to drive better business decisions and results
Understand and utilize Revenue Model (BPC) at the store level to create budget and forecast modeling. Partner across brands to understand best practices
Coordinate and manage comprehensive reporting, including regular performance reviews, metric reporting, quantitative and qualitative metrics
Qualification
Required
5-7 years of Commercial Finance experience
Bachelor's Degree
Master's Preferred - Finance, Accounting or Related Field
Preferred
Power BI experience
AI or Co-Pilot experience
