Responsibilities
Overseeing UX/UI designs to ensure design decisions are grounded in user experience and adhere to agency-wide design standards and industry-wide best practices
Translating research into user stories, requirements, flows, wireframes, and prototypes and collaborating on the future product roadmap
Employing user testing and outreach to ensure products meets the needs of the end users, in collaboration with partners
Partnering with the product team and other key stakeholders, including senior leadership, on design solutions and rationales; collaborating with internal and external teams of product designers, developers, and product managers
Qualification
Required
8 Required Experience in software product development, digital design, UX/UI or a related field
8 Required Designing mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices
8 Required Experience conducting user and usability research
5 Required Demonstrated strong writing and organization skills
5 Required Demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills
4 Required Direct experience leading large-scale UX/UI efforts
4 Required Documented experience developing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes in Figma or comparable design software
3 Required Experience ensuring designs and websites conform to federal accessibility guidelines
1 Required A portfolio of user research, visual design, and usability studies that demonstrates a high level of professionalism
Preferred
3 Preferred Documented work experience with the issue tracking software 'Atlassian Jira'
2 Preferred Documented experience working for or closely with TEA or another state or local education agency
