Responsibilities
Develop detailed design verification and characterization test plans for all phases of ECU programs, collaborating with reliability, design, and firmware teams
Lead execution of characterization testing according to project milestones
Own test coverage reports and perform detailed analysis
Perform bench-level characterization at both IC and PCBA levels
Provide early feedback to design engineers regarding design decisions and testability
Develop and present Design for Testability (DFT) reports for ECU designs
Manage characterization schedules and communicate status to upper management and cross-functional teams
Write basic automation scripts and instrumentation drivers using Python to improve testing efficiency
Collaborate with software engineers to flash, test, and troubleshoot firmware
Lead cross-functional root cause analysis for non-compliant test results using data-driven methods
Qualification
Required
BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience
2+ years of experience in electronics characterization and validation testing
Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, and digital multimeters
Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals
Working knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and communication buses
Experience with Python scripting and data analysis
Preferred
Familiarity with low-level firmware and C programming
Experience with Databricks or similar data environments
Experience with automated test equipment (ATE)
