Tributary Staffing is a civil engineering and surveying company seeking a Civil Engineering Inspection Department Manager. The role involves overseeing the civil inspection department, ensuring compliance with standards, managing relationships with clients, and supporting project managers.

Staffing and Recruiting

Responsibilities

Oversight of all civil inspection department employees, ensuring compliance with quality control standards and specifications established by clients, certification organizations, or municipalities

Daily interaction and support of project managers, who oversee and schedule inspectors, and review and submit daily inspection reports to clients

Assist with logistical and relationship issues of department employees, including working with fleet manager on vehicle issues

Interview and hire potential new department employees

Preparing proposals for potential clients, maintenance of relationships with current clients, and business development with possible future clients

Budgeting of contract time and expenses including invoice review

Ensure up to date certifications and qualifications of department inspectors are maintained, as well as all regular calibration of testing equipment

Continuous training of staff in procedures, communication, writing, reporting, safety and client interactions

At least five years in civil inspection, construction management and/or civil engineering

Knowledge of construction methods, equipment and scheduling

Certifications required include radiation safety, substation safe entry, ACI Field Concrete Testing Technician level 1, and FHWA Drilled Shaft Foundation Inspection
