Responsibilities

Safeguard the data center lifecycle in existing and future data center markets through public affairs strategies and ongoing stakeholder engagement
Build and maintain critical relationships with government officials, community leaders, and key opinion formers to ensure a positive and sustainable operating environment for our facilities
Manage public affairs projects across multiple states, ensuring a cohesive and impactful strategy and collaborate with a broad set of internal teams and external partners to bring projects from concept to completion, upholding the highest standards of the organization
Serve as a key ambassador for Google by amplifying Google's economic, energy, sustainability, and social contributions with key stakeholders
Translate our initiatives into local benefits, positioning Google's presence for growth and innovation and act as a key advocate for Google's priorities as they relate to data center market development

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
10 years of experience in public affairs
Ability to travel 25% of the time as needed

Preferred

Experience working with public policy teams and cross-functional stakeholders
Experience developing and executing strategies to deliver exceptional solutions
Experience executing cross-functional projects
Ability to identify opportunities and areas for improvement, and operate in a changing environment
Excellent attention to detail and political/communication skills and ability to operate independently
