Grants Strategy and Compliance Manager
HomeWoven is dedicated to revitalizing neighborhoods and providing essential housing services. The Grants Strategy & Compliance Manager will manage funding through grant writing and compliance, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and building relationships with funders.
Responsibilities
Draft, coordinate, and submit grant proposals that support and promote HomeWoven’s mission and community-focused objectives
Assist in each phase of the grant process by monitoring deadlines, collaborating with team members, and ensuring reports and renewals are completed carefully and accurately
Keep a clear, accessible grants calendar and foster relationships with funders based on transparency, trust, and a shared commitment to sustainable housing solutions
Support adherence to grant agreements, contracts, and regulations by helping the team understand and fulfill all requirements
Keep grant materials, communications, and reports organized and accessible for all team members
Participate in internal audits and funder reviews with transparency and care and help improve policies and practices that support shared accountability, learning, and equity
Work collaboratively with the program and finance teams to gather, review, and interpret the data needed for grant reports
Support consistent and culturally responsive data collection across HomeWoven to ensure that outcomes reflect the lived experiences of the communities we serve
Create clear, accessible summaries that help internal teams and external partners understand our collective impact and make informed decisions
Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and cross-functional projects that align with HomeWoven’s mission and daily operations
Provide support for development and communications efforts as needed and contribute to special initiatives that strengthen our organization and expand our impact alongside the communities we serve
Qualification
Required
Lived or professional experience in nonprofit management, public service, community work, or a related area
Experience in grant writing, grant management, or nonprofit compliance, including work with private foundations, corporate funders, and public funding sources
At least two years of experience in grant writing, grant management, nonprofit compliance, or similar roles involving funding systems, documentation, and reporting
Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines carefully
Clear, thoughtful communication—both written and spoken—that adjusts to different audiences
Comfort using grant tracking systems, CRMs, or databases
Preferred
A bachelor's degree is welcome but not required
Experience writing or managing federal, state, or municipal grants is beneficial but not mandatory
Willingness to learn if new to grant tracking systems, CRMs, or databases like Salesforce, Bloomerang, or similar tools
