The N.C. Department of Public Safety is seeking a Purchasing & Logistics Intern for the Summer of 2026. The role involves assisting in various purchasing and logistics activities to help optimize the organization's procurement processes.

Responsibilities

Assisting Buyers in their day-to-day activities, including preparing Request for Quote (RFQ’s) and Short Order Forms

Approving small dollar requisitions

Assisting with bid openings

Helping identify and get to know HUB vendors

Studying market trends, running reports, and evaluating processes and procedures

Required

Must be currently enrolled in college or a recent college graduate. NOTE: 'Recent' graduates are those who have graduated within the last 6 months

Must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree (or a recent graduate) in Business Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management Operations Management, Finance, or related field

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft programs
