Headless CMS Architect (Storyblok)

They are seeking an experienced Headless CMS Architect (Storyblok) to lead the design, configuration, and governance of a headless content management ecosystem for a large academic institution, ensuring content is structured, migrated, localized, and governed effectively.

Responsibilities
Design and maintain Storyblok content schemas, including components, blocks, relations, and taxonomies
Define scalable and reusable content models that support complex academic and institutional use cases
Ensure content structures support multiple sites, faculties, departments, and audiences
Analyze existing SharePoint content types, page templates, and metadata structures
Map and translate SharePoint content models into optimized Storyblok components
Support or lead content migration efforts, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and minimal disruption
Implement multilingual and localization strategies within Storyblok
Configure versioning, publishing workflows, and approval processes
Define and manage roles, permissions, and access control for diverse contributor groups
Advise on content governance frameworks for a large academic institution
Establish best practices for content ownership, lifecycle management, and editorial consistency
Partner with stakeholders to balance flexibility with governance and compliance requirements
Collaborate with developers, UX designers, and content teams to ensure seamless CMS integration
Act as a subject matter expert on Storyblok and headless CMS best practices
Provide guidance, documentation, and training support to internal teams as needed
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience working with CMS platforms, with strong hands-on experience in Storyblok
Proven expertise in headless CMS architecture and content modeling principles
Direct experience migrating or restructuring content from SharePoint or similar enterprise CMS platforms
Strong understanding of localization, workflows, versioning, and role-based permissions in CMS environments
Experience working with large, structured organizations such as universities, academic institutions, or enterprises with complex content needs
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Applicants must have 3 or more years of relevant professional experience
Preferred
Experience supporting multi-site or multi-tenant CMS implementations
Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks consuming headless CMS content
Experience defining editorial workflows for large distributed content teams
Prior work in higher education or research-driven institutions
