The Associate Supplier Engineer will work closely with peers in Quality, Manufacturing, and Sourcing to support new capital equipment at suppliers, execute improvement projects, and resolve technical issues within the supply base.

Responsibilities
Lead and/or support the qualification and validation of components and associated tooling to ensure supplier’s capability to meet robust quality and manufacturing capacity requirements
Monitor and address day-to-day component issues within Insulet’s US automated manufacturing lines in support of meeting operational efficiency and first pass yield targets
Utilize six sigma and statistical tools and resources when applicable to assist with problem solving and prevent recurrence of issues
Travel to suppliers to lead root cause and corrective actions in response to quality issues
Participate in product design reviews with emphasis on design for manufacture
All other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Engineering degree (mechanical, manufacturing/industrial, plastics preferred)
Co-op/intern experience working in an engineering and/or manufacturing
Preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with Solidworks / Pro-E and statistical skills using Excel, JMP, or Minitab
Working knowledge of MS Office
Ability to travel domestically/Internationally – 20% max; 10% typical
Outstanding team player who seeks and values diverse input to hone ideas
Highly-motivated, self-starter
