Responsibilities

Responsible for identifying and championing projects that drive continuous improvement, enhance operational efficiency, and cultivate a culture of excellence across the organization
Assist in implementing the company's strategy and initiatives
Oversee the definition, development, and strategy of the Operational Excellence Department empowering Rogers-O'Brien to occupy a powerful role in the Texas construction ecosystem and create a reputation across the greater country and industry
Collaborate with other department leads to discover, develop, and deliver the right tools, processes, and procedures
Be a thought leader for the enterprise on operational excellence and continual improvement, establishing common frameworks and terminology
Responsible for aiding in the overall performance, success, and support of standard operating procedures across the organization
Develop and document SOP's within the company Playbook (Process Manual)
Conduct speculative conversations with internal stakeholders regarding process and procedures; assess and socialize opportunities; maintain a log of improvement opportunities; manage relationships and strategy
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to refine the project life cycle process
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish business requests from the actual underlying needs
Work with jobsite teams to make sure they are utilizing the corporate tools available to them to make them more efficient and reduce overall risk
Provide guidance and implement more training opportunities to promote professional development for all team members
Work closely with the Learning & Development group to create enhanced training and communication methods that reduce barriers to understanding for all RO employees
Collaborate with the IT team during research, implementation, training, and support of technologies
Work in close cooperation with IT professionals to equip staff with proper hardware and software tools
Build and sustain a culture of improvement and ensure adequate lean capability to support RO's continuous improvement needs
Partner closely with Marketing for co-marketing opportunities with partners, customers, and case studies
Attend / speak at industry conferences and participate in webinars to highlight RO’s successes and processes

Required

Architectural, Engineering, or Computer Science bachelor's degree or higher
Seven years of relevant experience
Demonstrated ability to lead teams in multiple regions
Innovative and very technically proficient
Strong business acumen and proven ability to lead teams and complex projects
Understanding of the overall construction process and the roles of each key stakeholder
Understanding of the duties of various departments within the company
Must be able to quickly learn how to utilize business essential company software
