The Intern will collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to develop and deploy AI solutions that enhance efficiency and drive innovation within the organization.

Responsibilities

Learn to work on Boehringer's existing GenAI and Agentic AI infrastructure to implement new projects

Interact with business stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate that to technical requirements

Develop quick PoCs and test to validate new ideas/project requirements

Study recent GenAI specific works and research ideas and propose such ideas to the team to either improve the efficiency existing systems or to solve new requirements

Present the work to the stakeholders including IT and Business representatives

Required

Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing

Student must be enrolled at an accredited college or university for the duration of the internship/co-op

Major or minor in related field of internship/co-op

Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university

Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction

Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)

Must be 18 years of age or older

Proficiency in Python and familiarity with libraries such as LangChain, LangGraph, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment

Preferred

Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred

Currently pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, or a related field

Good understanding of topics such as LLM, Knowledge Graph, RAG, GraphRAG, and Agentic AI

Understanding machine learning and deep learning techniques is a plus
