Support Engineer II
SP Associates, Inc. is a leading global provider of water and hygiene solutions. As a Support Engineer II, you will be responsible for ensuring effective and safe use of treatment chemicals and equipment in the pulp and paper industry, while assisting sales account managers with treatment program design and implementation.
Responsibilities
Routine service visits and testing as required to ensure safe and effective treatment programs within the pulp and paper industry
Update databases with each service visit and generate weekly service reports as required
Assists with technical issues at customer sites, brings any issues to the customers attention and puts together a plan for corrective action – ensures the sales account manager is kept informed
Look for growth opportunities at existing customers and assist with growth opportunities at prospect accounts as required
Assist with data analysis on program performance
Routine monitoring and maintenance of feed equipment as required
Participate in technical training opportunities for advancement of skills and knowledge
Qualification
Required
Must have paper mill experience
Bachelor's Degree (Science or other technical degree). Would consider experience in lieu of a technical degree
Solving complex and non-routine technical problems
Strong relationship management skills
Industry and customer literate, or ability to pick up industry and Solenis technologies quickly
Drive for results; proactively addresses complex issues
Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Must live within 45 minutes of customer; Portland, OR or Vancouver, WA (general area ideally)
