The Assistant Project Accountant will support a Senior Project Accountant on large-scale commercial interior and healthcare projects, gaining hands-on experience in construction project accounting.

Responsibilities
Processing Accounts Payable invoices and supporting payment cycles
Assisting with project budget setup and maintenance
Supporting the Owner Billing process
Helping manage intercompany invoices, payments, and reconciliations
Assisting with monthly cost reports and financial close activities
Ensuring compliance with internal accounting policies
Communicating with vendors and internal project teams
Maintaining organized financial and project documentation
Assisting with contract reconciliation
Supporting cost and revenue analysis
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2-4 years of project accounting experience (construction industry strongly preferred)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Collaborative mindset, this role works closely with senior accountants and project teams
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Proactive, dependable, and not afraid to ask questions (that's how you learn)
Preferred
Exposure to projects $10M+ is a plus, not a dealbreaker
Proficiency in Excel and experience with CMiC preferred
