BUSINESS TAXES SPECIALIST I, BOARD OF EQUALIZATION
The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) is seeking a Business Taxes Specialist I to provide technical support and coordinate projects within the department. The role involves developing policies, serving as a subject matter expert, and handling inquiries related to tax law and compliance.

Responsibilities
Provides technical support to team members, supervisors, and management
Develops, updates, and delivers section policies, procedures, and training curriculum
Independently leads and coordinates special and complex projects
Represents the section/branch at multi-departmental and external stakeholder meetings
Handles sensitive inquiries from internal sections, external agencies, and the public
Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on program requirements, tax law, and compliance activities
Analyzes data and creates/maintains statistical reports
Acts as Point of Contact (POC) for system enhancements and troubleshooting
Participates in system design sessions, testing efforts, and system change processes
Qualification
Required
Provides technical support to team members, supervisors, and management
