Procurement Analyst

Responsibilities

Manage daily purchasing operations in SAP, including product costing and inventory management, as well as:
Process Purchase Requisitions (PRs) into Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP
Monitor SAP inventory planning lanes daily to ensure purchases align with lead times and leverage efficient/lean volume discounts
Create and maintain Purchase Info Records (PIRs)
Create and manage transfer orders as needed to optimize supply chain flow
Support SAP subcontracting processes (bonus experience)
Proactively source and identify new vendors, execute RFQs (Requests for Quotation), negotiate costs, and onboard new vendors
Manage a shared inbox of commercial requests, ensuring timely responses and accurate follow-up
Act as a point person between import vendors and plant operations, ensuring smooth communication and coordination
Place and manage orders for both domestic and import vendors
Collaborate with vendors on order tracking, product information, GTINs, and documentation requirements
Handle quality issues with vendors on a case-by-case basis, driving resolution and maintaining standards
Work closely with logistics, plant operations, vendors, and customer service to provide accurate and timely information
Conduct monthly checks with plants for MR&O to ensure proper stocking levels and avoid shortages
Monitor vendor performance and maintain strong supplier relationships
Provide insights and reporting using Excel and Power BI (bonus skills)

Required

Proven experience working with SAP in purchasing and inventory management
Strong knowledge of RFQ processes, cost negotiation, and vendor onboarding
Solid understanding of supply chain operations and inventory control
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI is a plus
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments
Ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Experience with SAP subcontracting
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
