Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth research and studies involving the assessment of present and future threats to USCG information, personnel, resources and facilities by government employees, contractors, or other personnel with authorized access
Compile research and study results for presentation to the CGInTP Program Manager and recommend courses of action to address new, emerging, and anticipated threats and threat scenarios
Provide in-depth briefs pertaining to USCG insider threat matters to authorized personnel
Support ongoing inquiries, investigations and operations with intelligence community, security, law enforcement, administrative, command, and legal personnel
Providing direct CI support to subordinate units or the District command staff to include deployment, site visits or liaison

Required

Must be a U.S. Citizen or National
Must be registered or exempt from the Selective Service
A one-year probationary period may be required
This position requires a Sensitive Compartmental Information clearance
Selectee must provide a valid state driver's license and safe driving record
Time in Grade requirement must be met by the closing date of the vacancy
Drug/Alcohol Test Required
To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the federal sector
Specialized experience must include knowledge of CI policies and procedures
Specialized experience must include knowledge of the authorities and activities of an organization and its relation to the National Intelligence Community
Specialized experience must include knowledge and understanding of disclosure and security guidelines
Specialized experience must include planning, implementing and maintaining databases required to process all-source material to produce intelligence
Specialized experience must include identifying intelligence gaps, proposing collection requirements to fill gaps, and developing methodologies to cope with the gaps
Specialized experience must include liaising with external stakeholders to appropriately address their requests for information and ensure that their requirements are met
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
