Responsibilities
Balance batches of checks sent from branches
Assist bank employees with research, account questions and troubleshooting issues with customer accounts
Sort interbranch mail and deliver to in town branches
Work with Federal Reserve in research and adjustments
Process in-clearings
Run BOSS Processing (The process of balancing the bank for the day)
Process all US Mail, including customer statements, notices, and customer communications
This position will have varying hours that will include some closing shifts. Additional compensation is added for closing shifts
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three years related experience and/or training
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
The employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
The employee is frequently required to sit
The employee is occasionally required to walk and stoop, kneel, or crouch
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet
