This role will provide the intern with hands-on experience in an enterprise IT environment, focusing on tasks such as networking infrastructure installation, IT asset management, and project management support.

Responsibilities

Provide support to IT staff and leadership for the following functions:

Assisting in the installation and/or maintenance of physical networking infrastructure

Analyzing existing processes and recommending solutions that will bring added efficiency

Assisting with the management of IT asset inventory and supporting hardware deployment projects

Supporting project management functions

Validating IT solutions/project deliverables

Creating and maintaining technology documentation for internal and external audiences

Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Information Technology courseworkMicrosoft Office proficiencyProject management supportTechnical communicationCustomer service skills

Required

Completed coursework in information technology

Student should be a junior or senior level student at an accredited college

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook

Effective, verbal and written communication skills

Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences

The ability to demonstrate initiative and responsibility, perform multiple tasks, attend to detail, meet deadlines, adapt quickly to changes, and respond well to feedback

Able to exert up to 35 pounds of force occasionally (up to 1/3 of the time)

Able to lift, carry, push, pull, up to 35 pounds occasionally

Able to sit for extended periods (1/3 to 2/3 of the time), but may involve brief periods of time walking or standing

Able to use keyboard frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the time)
