Akkodis is seeking a Linux Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Plano, TX. The role involves managing and implementing Linux-based infrastructure, supporting critical components, and ensuring operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Managing and implementing end-to-end Linux-based infrastructure, supporting critical core components such as databases, GRID computing, enterprise job schedulers, and messaging platforms

Monitoring application infrastructure, proactively addressing and resolving issues before they impact users

Supporting release management, troubleshooting issues, and handling incident/problem management

Assisting with migration projects related to servers, Active Directory, datacenters, and application upgrades

Ensuring adherence to processes and maintaining operational efficiency in handling incidents and problem management

Troubleshooting and identifying root cause prevention for production issues in a fast-paced environment

Writing and maintaining scripts in Python, Shell, or Perl to support automation and operations

Providing excellent communication and interpersonal skills while working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
