Responsibilities

Fill an immediate opening in our architectural review team
Use and develop your knowledge of codes to regulate licensed facilities throughout the State of North Carolina
Ensure the safety and well-being of citizens in all of our 100 counties
Regulate the physical plant compliance of all licensed health care, residential care and jail facilities in North Carolina
Blend office time with travel time in the field

Qualification

Architecture principlesBuilding codes knowledgeBlueprint readingPhysical inspection abilities

Required

Bachelor's degree in architecture or an engineering discipline related to the area of assignment from an appropriately accredited institution
Three years of related experience as a registered architect
Valid license to practice architecture granted by the North Carolina Board of Architecture

Preferred

Knowledge of principles and practices of architecture
Must possess a valid driver's license
Physical abilities to inspect buildings in their entirety
Ability to read and understand building blueprints and specifications
