Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive Databricks practice strategy aligned with organizational data and analytics goals
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data engineers, architects, and technical consultants specializing in Databricks
Architect and oversee advanced data engineering solutions utilizing Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark, and modern cloud data architectures
Manage enterprise-scale data platform implementations from discovery through deployment
Partner with sales teams to shape technical proposals and support enterprise client pursuits
Conduct architecture reviews and provide guidance on data platform optimization best practices
Present technical solutions and strategies to executive leadership and prospective clients
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with Databricks and leading cloud service providers
Track emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous innovation
Develop and maintain implementation frameworks, methodologies, and technical documentation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
8–10+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, cloud data platforms, or technical consulting
Proven success leading complex enterprise data platform transformations
Deep experience across the Databricks ecosystem and large-scale data environments
Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and scale technical practice areas
Advanced expertise in cloud data platforms with deep knowledge of Databricks architecture and configuration
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for varied audiences
Strong project and stakeholder leadership capabilities
Expert-level understanding of data engineering and analytics strategy
Enterprise technical consulting and solution design experience
Sales engineering skills to support complex, consultative sales cycles
Executive presence with the ability to influence senior decision-makers
Proficiency across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms
Advanced programming skills in Python, Scala, and SQL
Deep knowledge of big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks
