Responsibilities

To accurately prepare management and financial information for the UK, reporting to group
Advise and liaise with finance staff, other departments, managers and colleagues, other sites and functions, Board of Directors and external advisers
Ensure delivery of accurate, complete and on-time reporting, actuals/budgets and forecasts
Drive business improvements
Mentor and develop your direct report
System development - reports and innovation
Work with other departments to improve practices from a financial and business perspective, e.g. Sales & Estimating, Purchasing, Technical and Project Management
Liaise with internal and external audit and corporate finance
Ensure the integrity of the business system including cost rollups/utilisation rates
Ensure a smooth alignment with the recent statutory merger of several entities
Support the Financial Controller and deputise in absence
Support/lead future projects
WIP and other related balance sheet reconciliations, CPRs, order reporting, POC revenue reporting, cost of sales, margin reporting, variance analysis, utilisation and efficiency reporting

PC/ERP skills, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
A mindset to improve processes to make continuous improvements in automation, efficiency and accuracy
Ability to work with colleagues, both within and outside of finance
Experience of working in an international reporting environment
Detailed knowledge of procedures relating to finance, preferably in a multi-jurisdiction and projects-based company
Knowledge of group management and financial accounting (IFRS)
Good direct and indirect tax knowledge
Ability to interpret and challenge the results to provide insight for improvements
Knowledge of general financial and management finance procedures
Flexible/can do attitude

Preferred

A formal accountancy qualification is desirable
