Responsibilities

Management of a regional sales territory selling process support equipment to pharmaceutical & biotech manufacturers
Drive the closing of sales through long capital sales cycles by engaging multiple stakeholders and key decision makers. Contribute to company revenue goals by achieving and exceeding sales goals
Target existing and new customers to generate opportunities, expand brand awareness, and grow market share. Build a strong sales network by fostering positive relationships with customers creating trust and loyalty
Conduct customer contact at the client location and virtually. Prepare and lead engaging and informative technical presentations
Visit targeted engineering firms to assist in the presentation of technical materials to educate key influencers and promote STEQ equipment and services
Develop account-planning activities, monitor and update plan progress, and submit updates and reports - including key performance indicators, sales forecasts and monthly opportunity reports - on schedule. Use of CRM (SalesForce®) will be required
Review of customer URS’ (user requirement specifications), preparation of RFQ/RFP responses, and drafting of proposals
Attend industry conferences and trade events as directed
Communicate effectively with European Factory product managers and technical personnel while participating in virtual customer-facing sales discussions. Travel with them for in-person meetings, as necessary. Occasional travel to our European suppliers is also necessary for training, FATs and Sales Meetings…etc
Attend monthly sales meetings (virtually if remote), quarterly meetings at corporate headquarters and annual sales meeting and sales training opportunities
Establish and maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with customers and STEQ colleagues whilst behaving professionally and responsibly in accordance with STEQ’s Code of Conduct and Values. Respond to all customer and internal staff inquiries in a concise and timely manner. Comply with all company SOPs, policies, and procedures

Required

5+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology industry selling capital equipment
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
A valid driver's license is required
Must travel as required up to 50% in the continental US
International travel will be required; one must possess, or be able to acquire, the required government travel identification documents for domestic and international travel
Business development mentality – engaging customer targets and developing leads
Effective communicator, with strong oral and written skills
Independent, enthusiastic, self-starter, with great attention to detail
Outgoing and engaging personality
Demonstrate strong organizational, problem-solving, and reporting skills
Strong understanding of mechanical concepts as they apply to aseptic manufacturing processes
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to promote positive, professional, and respectful, exchanges with internal and external contacts
Ability to prioritize and effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Collaborative mindset with the ability to support multiple stakeholders and departments

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in in a STEM field is preferred but not required
Experience with CRM tools preferred, SalesForce® experience is an advantage
