Responsibilities

Maintain a variety of fixed or semi-fixed production machinery and equipment used in the manufacture, renovation, and demilitarization of conventional ammunition

Run diagnostic testing and troubleshooting all equipment and machinery to determine cause of malfunction

Plan and layout work from blueprints, drawings, sketches, and oral instructions

Breakdown equipment and equipment components inspecting parts and replacing as required

Adjust and repair production machinery and equipment

Required

Ability to do the work of a(n) Production Machinery Mechanic without more than normal supervision

Possess the ability to perform common tasks including applying specific maintenance and repair procedures to install, repair, overhaul, align, and test production machinery equipment while interpreting multi-view drawings, sketches, and specifications

Ability to apply a variety of methods and techniques

Ability to detect malfunctions, determine corrective measures, and make repairs using test equipment and measuring devices, such as feeler gauges, micrometers, tachometers, portable machines, and hand tools

Must possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles

Must complete a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position
