Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve LAN-related issues
Replace or coordinate replacement of defective network components
Support LAN enhancements and new implementations based on business needs
Participate in on-call rotations for off-hours critical support
Collaborate with business partners and vendors to integrate network infrastructure
Coordinate changes with firewall, VPN, wireless, and NAC teams
Follow IT Service Management (ITSM) standards and implement process improvements
Provide technical guidance and consultation on LAN solutions
Qualification
Required
5-7 years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role
Strong hands-on experience with LAN operations and implementation
Proven expertise with Cisco switches
Solid understanding of TCP/IP
Solid understanding of Ethernet
Solid understanding of OSPF
Solid understanding of QoS
Solid understanding of VLANs
Solid understanding of IP subnetting
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or 8+ years of equivalent professional experience)
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Preferred
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Network automation or scripting experience
Familiarity with Cisco DNA Center (Catalyst Center)
Wireless networking knowledge
Exposure to enterprise-scale network environments
