Responsibilities
Install and configure welding equipment on Zeman machines
Set up and fine-tune welding parameters at customer sites
Optimize welding quality on existing machines
Implement and enhance welding procedures for new machines
Perform maintenance, repairs, and replacements of welding machines
Conduct error analysis on defective machines and components
Provide technical assistance via phone and written communication
Deliver on-site support for complex issues when required
Weld procedure optimization
Improve technical documentation and capture lessons learned
Identify development needs to further enhance welding quality
Work closely with the development team to test and validate new features
Cooperate with service, support, and sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction
Willingness to travel approximately 60% of the time
Qualification
Required
5+ years welding experience
Powerwave knowledge required
Knowledge about welding specifications/codes
Knowledge about welding procedures
Great knowledge in setting up welding machines
Team-oriented as well as independent work and solving problems with the other departments (design, construction, programmers)
Computer skills (MS Office)
Willingness to travel internationally
Basic technical understanding of all areas (software, electrics, mechanics)
Professional experience as service technician/engineer in international field service
High degree of independence and flexibility
Customer orientation and pleasure in dealing with people
