They are currently seeking an Application Programmer for a contract position in the financial industry, responsible for developing and maintaining software applications while collaborating with various teams.

Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, debug, support, maintain and test software applications for Advised Affluent Offering & also supports business units or supporting functions for Benefits online
Participate in the design, development and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies, software, hardware and tools
Assist with offshore coordination with offshore teams and collaborate with other programmers and business partners to ensure successful delivery and implementation of the software application
Work with minimal supervision and guidance from more seasoned consultants, and may also be expected to provide application support
Collaborates with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application
Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities
Qualification
Required
8+ years of experience
Java APIs and web development required
Spring boot
Core Java, developing J2EE Applications involving JSP and Servlets
IDE like Eclipse or NetBeans or IntelliJ
App Server experience in deploying J2EE applications using WebSphere or Tomcat or Apache
WebApi
Working knowledge on Handlebar/ AngularJS/ React, JavaScript, jQuery, client-side technologies
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Experience of automated unit testing tools
Preferred
Knowledge of Groovy Framework is a plus
Ability to work in a Lean-Agile environment a plus
Knowledge of Oracle and T-SQL
Experience in financial domain
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Self-motivated and demonstrates a willingness to accept additional responsibilities and projects
