Responsibilities
Plan and execute internal audits in accordance with the annual audit plan and professional auditing standards
Perform walkthroughs, testing, and documentation of business processes and internal controls
Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Section 404 compliance activities, including control design assessment, testing of key controls, and coordination with management and external auditors
Identify control deficiencies, assess risk impacts, and develop practical recommendations for process improvement
Prepare clear, well-organized audit workpapers and reports summarizing findings and recommendations
Present audit results to management and follow up on remediation efforts
Support audits related to operational, financial, compliance, and technology risks, as applicable
Assist with special projects, investigations, and ad hoc risk assessments
Stay current on regulatory requirements, internal audit standards, and best practices
Mentor or provide guidance to junior audit staff as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
Approximately 3 years of experience in internal audit, public accounting, or risk assurance
Working knowledge of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO) and audit methodologies
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels of the organization
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other common business applications
Preferred
Professional certification in progress or completed (CPA, CIA, CISA, or similar)
Experience with SOX, operational audits, or data analytics tools
Exposure to regulated industries or complex business environments
