They are seeking a Senior Portfolio Accountant to take a lead role in accounting closes, prepare journal entries, and coordinate reporting requirements among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Take a lead role in monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closes
Prepare and post journal entries
Review and record admittance of new investors
Coordinate quarterly and annual reporting requirements, as well as tax requirements
Coordinate with cash management group to execute cash transactions (investor subscriptions, investor distributions, invoice payment, quarterly fees)
Review property management financial statements
Quarterly financial analysis, including review of investment accounting information
Calculate, analyze and report performance returns
Assist in closing the books and records for the preparation of SEC filings
Respond to client inquiries
Create efficiency in and effectiveness of the financial reporting process, including effective usage of technology, as well as improve client services
Take initiative in identifying problems and providing suggested solutions
Take the lead on special projects as assigned

Qualification

Accounting experienceReal estate accountingCPA designationBachelor’s Degree in AccountingFinancial reportingClient serviceProblem-solving

Required

Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
Strong knowledge of real estate accounting
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

Preferred

CPA designation is strongly preferred
