Responsibilities
Use and leverage a variety of housing finance tools to produce, preserve and protect housing in the city
Shape housing policy through the performance of advanced-level work evaluating project proposals, underwriting loans, and negotiating terms and conditions on projects requesting City assistance and requiring multiple sources of funding including TIF, tax credits, bonds, and federal, state, and local resources
Provide guidance to other staff on development strategy, policy, and logistics
Collaborate with community organizations, government entities, elected officials, and developers on real estate projects
Qualification
Required
Experience in project financing for multifamily housing development projects
Ability to use and leverage a variety of housing finance tools
Advanced-level work evaluating project proposals
Experience underwriting loans
Negotiating terms and conditions on projects requesting City assistance
Experience with multiple sources of funding including TIF, tax credits, bonds, and federal, state, and local resources
Ability to provide guidance to other staff on development strategy, policy, and logistics
Experience collaborating with community organizations, government entities, elected officials, and developers on real estate projects
