Creating detailed designs for fire sprinkler systems in compliance with local, state, and national codes
Utilizing CAD software for system layout
Conducting field surveys
Collaborating with engineers and project managers
Preparing installation drawings
Submitting plans for approval to relevant authorities
Assisting with project coordination
Providing technical support as needed
Qualification
Required
Experience in fire sprinkler system design, applying knowledge of local, state, and national fire codes and standards
Proficiency in CAD software and blueprint design programs
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for creating efficient and accurate designs
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, contractors, and stakeholders
High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred
Hydracad preferred
NICET certification in Water-Based Systems Layout is a plus
Knowledge of fire protection manufacturing and field installation processes is desirable
additional technical or design training is a plus
