Credit Strategy Officer - Chase Auto - Executive Director

Responsibilities

Evaluate and approve credit exposures for commercial or consumer lending, ensuring alignment with risk appetite and policies
Monitor loan portfolios, identify potential risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them
Help shape credit policies, underwriting standards, and risk management frameworks
Ensure adherence to banking regulations and internal controls related to credit risk
Work with teams across business lines (e.g., risk, underwriting, legal, finance) to balance growth and risk
Provide approvals or recommendations for complex and high-value credit transactions

Required

A Bachelor's Degree in finance, business administration, or a related field
Relevant experience in consumer lending, originations, and/or retail credit experience at a complex large-scale financial services business
Ability to evaluate and manage credit risk effectively and strong judgment in approving or recommending credit transactions
Knowledge of banking regulations and ensuring adherence
Demonstrated career of successful program implementations
Exceptional Analytical & Financial Skills: Advanced quantitative and qualitative finance abilities, leveraging data and feedback to solve complex problems and drive decision-making
Strategic Thinking & Execution: Proven ability to identify opportunities for innovation and business improvement, with strong execution skills
Leadership & Relationship Building: Exceptional people leadership, relationship development, and negotiation skills, earning trust among internal and external partners
Cross-Team Collaboration: Demonstrated success collaborating across teams and business lines within large organizations
Executive Communication: Strong proficiency in creating executive-level presentations and simplifying complex topics for senior audiences
